What are the white strips on the inside of Seventh Generation diapers?

"The "stripes" you see are the diaper's acquisition and distribution layer (ADL). The ADL helps channel liquids into the absorbent materials of the diaper, and it's always been there. Now that the absorbent fibers in our diapers are not whitened, it's just easier to see.
