Is it OK to use Chlorine-free Bleach with Liquid Laundry Detergent as a pre-soak? How to use Chlorine-free Bleach as pre-soak?
You may use Liquid Laundry Detergent and Chlorine-free Bleach together as a pre-soak. You can also rub a bit of our detergent into the stain as a pre-soak. Chlorine-free Bleach is going to do most of the work. The hotter the water and the longer that the item soaks, the more bleaching action there will be.
To make a pre-soak solution: add 2 tablespoonfuls or less of Liquid Laundry Detergent with 1/2 cup (4 oz.) of Chlorine-free Bleach; (1 cup [8 oz.] to make a strong solution) in a 2 - 2 1/2 gal container.
Suggestions for white : This is safe to use with cotton or polyester blend fabrics in white.
Recommend 2 hours MINIMUM
Tips: You will have greater results with hot vs. cold water and soaking overnight is even better.
Suggestions for colored clothes: Seventh Generation's Chlorine-free Bleach can lighten colors. It is suggested for cotton and polyester-blend fabrics, as long as the Chlorine-free Bleach is not in direct contact with the fibers. We recommend CAUTION with colors.
Tips: You will have greater results if you monitor the soaking, using cooler water; which will minimize bleaching action on colors.
