The fluff pulp in our diapers comes from sustainably harvested Scandinavian forests. The types of trees used are northern softwood species. We avoid old growth forests, as they are protected.
The forests are managed in compliance with a certification system. The system depends on the land owner's choice. The PEFC system is mostly used, although we understand that there is a desire for a growing number of land owners to adopt Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) as a dual certification, which we value at Seventh Generation.
